Drive health, disable spindown on external drives, esp WD

spin wd I’d like to know if there is a setting within Windows 7 that will allow the 2 external hard drives in my Western Dital My Book DuoMirror to stay spinning longer.. Spin-down depends on the enclosure firmware, which usually doesn’t allow customization. The fan activation temperature is also fixed and not adjustable. WD Dashboard
